I really like the name Jalyn but most people say that it looks girly the way I would like to spell it. I choose that spelling because in away it has my middle name which is lynn...and I really like him having apart of my name because the middle is based on the dads name. The name itself is unisexed so do you think I should change the spelling to look more boyish....and if so which do you think looks best:
Jalene
Jalen
Jaylin
Jelean
Let me know you what you think.

I love the name myself....I like how you spelled it and i like it this way too Jaylin.

I have a cousin and his name is Lynn
and i know men with the middle name Lynn

You should name your baby what YOU want to name him. You are the ONE that is going to be laying in PAIN to have him so if i were you i would name him that just like i named my son what i did when everybody was telling me not too.

They told me Julian sounding like a girl name but i thought to myself i love the name and it is a nice name but most of all HE IS MY SON so i named him that.

Don't listen to others....I didn't and i don't regret naming him that.

Good luck and congrats

I'm sorry, but to tell you the truth, I think the spelling Jalyn is a bit feminine. I think Jalen is probably the most suitable spelling for a boy. I think it's great that you would like to incorporate your name into his though. It will be a special bond that the two of you can share in future years.

I'm going to include the link to a baby names forum that I think you might find useful and interesting. It's great to get opinions of names, and the people on this forum have seen a lot of different ones, and are very good at voicingtheir honest opinions.

Jalene would be a different name because the last e makes the first e long. Jalene is mean is a rhyme the kids would do. I like Jaylin because it is masculine and has the y for your name and still has the same letters as Jalyn so it would still have your husband
's name also. The Jalyn might get mispronounced as Ja-lyn with emphasis on the lyn. The others would be Jay-lin & Ja-len with the emphasis on Ja. The last one is very femine and almost like Jillian in pronuciation.Good luck with the baby and your future.

Jalen looks the most masculine IMO. I know a girl with the name Jalyn, so of course it looks femine to me that way.

Jalyn is definitely girlish, however, the name is great! I think the spelling of Jalen or Jaylin is more masculine.

Jalen is the best spelling. All the others look like they could be girl names.

I agree, I think Jalen looks the most masculine too. Plus, I guess just the way I read it, it seems like it would sound masculine. Make sense?

Jalen IS the most masculine.
But don't feel bad about it not being spelled like your middle name...it's still being fully pronounced! ;)

Btw, it's a really cute pick.
