Oh no... I don't take anything I have for granted !
I know that I work to pay bills and buy what I need, and I realize that others have so much less than I do. And I don't have very much, really.
I'm thankful for a job and everything I have. After all, you really can't take it with you.

Both. Some days I go through life getting upset over stupid things instead of appreciating all the thing I have accomplished and all the things I have in life. Then, something will happen that makes me realize how greatful I should be for my life and everything and everyone in it. Then, for a while, I go into a mode of cherishing everything and understanding how life is truly a miracle.

I never thought I'd be happy.
I take things for granted when I achieve something, and later achieve it again, but the thrill and challenge of achievment is gone. But if I don't achieve it again, I realize I had taken this thing for granted.

I am happier now that I quit my old job that had a new boss. I couldn't take any more harrassment or bulliness from my new boss. I learn one lesson from my lawyers, if your boss is an Asian female (especially, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Thialand, or Phillipine), immediately get transfer.
The lawyers told me that those people are worst troublemakers that they had dealt with.

Who actually appreciates everything. Do you appreciate every breath you take. Do you appreciate ever cup of water? Those are things you work for.
