1. Cal Ripken, Jr. breaking Lou Gherig's record.
2. Gonzo's blooper hit that won the World Series for the Dbacks against the Yankees.
3. Boston Red Sox's 4 come-from-behind winning games to clinch the series against the Yankees and go on to win the World Series.

I remember one of the Red Sox games I went to as a kid. I don't remember who they were playing, but it was a cloudy day and the Sox were down most of the game. All of a sudden the clouds part and the sun shines in the bottom of the ninth, just as Dwight Evans comes to the plate. He ends up hitting a game tying home run, comes up again in the 11th and hits a walk off home run. Very cool day.

Oct. 17, 1969 when the Mets won the World Series. New Yorkers were never as close and as friendly than during those days.

The best hitter on my team was walked to load the bases with me coming to the plate. I hit a line drive that one hopped the center field fence and I made it all the way around for an in-the-park grand slam. The only homer ever hit!
