Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?
By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.
I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:
* 101 Internet Businesses You Can Start from Home by Susan Sweeney
* The Best Home Businesses for the 21st Century by Paul Edwards
* Selling Online: How to Become a Successful E-Commerce Merchant by Jim Carroll
* I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was: How to Discover What You Really Want and How to Get It by Barbara Sher
* I Don't Know What I Want, But I Know It's Not This: A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding Gratifying Work by Julie Jansen
* The Best Internet Businesses You Can Start by Marian Betancourt
* The Shoestring Entrepreneur's Guide to Internet Start-Ups by Robert Spiegel
* Making a Living Without a Job : Winning Ways For Creating Work That You Love by Barbara Winter
I also posted some article links in the source box.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

I'm halfway through college, and I've been running an Ebay business for quite some time now. I also run 2 gambling websites which pay me per hit, and hit's on advertisements.
Everyone goes around telling people like me that we should be concentrating on our academics, but guess what? Now is the time to start being proactive with our funds, learning how to manage/make money instead of sitting around and complaining about being poor.
Ok back on topic, you have a good idea. The start of every business is the toughest part, but if you are willing to put in the effort to make it work from the start, then you may be surprised at how much money you can potentially make.
Stince frosh year, my sites and ebay (wholesaling electronics) have made me 12 g's.
Good luck.

Compared to offline businesses, the investment required to start an online business is minimal. A popular way of earning money on the internet is by providing information and services. This can be monetised by advertising or charging a subscription. You can also make money online by selling products on auction websites like eBay or through your own website. workplacelikehome.com if you're looking for a real at home income. Oh wait, that sounds just like everything else on here, only difference: there's no promise on this website that you'll make thousands of dollars a day. This isn't a 'pay me and maybe you'll get paid too' site, and above all I'M NOT PROMOTING MY BUSINESS like most other links on here.
It's a forum used by people who actually work from home, in REAL jobs. I got on with West, but then we didn't pay our phone bill and well...you can't do the job without a phone.

On of the greatest opportunities is Network Marketing. You would need to find a company that has a service or product that you believe in. Make sure that NO ONE makes a profit from your enrollment fee. Then use and sell the product or service. I personally enjoy everything with the company that I am working with, check out my web site http://liquidity.myvoffice.com/phxcashmom/ . If you have any questions send me an e-mail.

Here's a list of great opportunities that you can browse and choose from with perfect confidence, because they are carefully screened for scams and empty hype. Whatever you choose WILL bring in an income with a minimum of effort.
Note, I said a miminum of effort. There is no free lunch, and you will not succeed in any business with no effort at all. Be prepared to spend a certain amount of time each day in front of your computer. The more time you spend, the sooner you will be seeing those paychecks flowing in, but you should be able to succeed with just one or two hours/day investment.
Enjoy!

If you're good at cooking or baking, try this.
A friend of mine, makes lunch and pack them in tiffin carriers and deliver to ppl who've placed order. You may need to prepare a week's menu ahead and customers are made up of ppl working in offices, or senior citizens who can't prepare food for themselves.
Another friend, only bakes cakes, muffins, etc and caters for birthday parties, bachelor parties, etc.
Advertise online, make flyers, and posters... Good luck!
