Yes. On both sides of our house our neighbors are elderly and very wonderful people. My husband frequently cuts their lawns if their children or grandchildren cannot help them.

Kind of; on one side the neighbors have a pool and invite us over to swim all the time, and on the other side the lady from the DMV is going to move in so now I have to stop making illegal u-turns in front of my house. I guess it's good to be well balanced.

Oh boy, here goes:

On one side I have a 3-unit house that is 67% Mexicans, and from what I can tell they ALL live in one unit. My family has nickname them the Banditos. (great bunch of people, though) On the other side I have a retired lady (simply known as Nancy) that walks her dog every single hour, smokes like a chimney, and won't give me the time of day 'cause I'm a young whipper-snapper. She leaves in a hurry every time she sees me coming. Too funny, I love my life!

Absolutely. We look out for each other. We take care of each others kids, help with babysitting, give gifts on special occassions, have BBQs together, etc.

While in Thailand I purchased gifts for all of the neighbor kids. We're like family. Heck, I see them a lot more than my relatives, come to think of it.

The community you live in says a lot about you. Get out there and make it what you want it to be.

Great we all just moved in within the last 4 year period us being the last. A wonderful older couple on one side not real old like 55-60, great people. Then on the other side is the brady bunch not really but that's the type of family. The are all really good kids, the middle boy gets a little rough but he has mellowed with me always ragging on him to be nice to his brother. The older lady across the alley is one of my best-friends grandmas sha didn't just move in but she is sweet too. I love it!!

We moved into our house at the end of March and have the best neighbors. Not too nosy, yet friendly.

One side I never see. The other side we get on fine, but it's a peace-keeping thing on my side. My son is friends with their son, but he's a horrible kid. He punches my son, and speaks to him like crap. They are only 5. The parents are heavy drinkers, but I keep the peace because it's better that way

Yea, we get along ok. We pretty much just ignore each other except for an occasional "hi" every now and then.
