Wow, that's a really hard quote to find. I tried looking it up, but Yahoo! doesn't have it. Hmmm...
I appreciate this quote because, whatever side you're on, you still lose. For example, currently I'm a liberal and under twenty five, so I've got a heart. But if I stay true to my beliefs, then I later in life I won't have a brain.
Ouch.

It's attributed to him incorrectly. Some think it was Shaw. Here's another version of the quote;
Any man who is under 30, and is not a liberal, has no heart; and any man who is over 30, and is not a conservative, has no brains.
Paul Addison of Edinburgh University is quoted as stating: "Surely Churchill can't have used the words attributed to him. He'd been a Conservative at 15 and a Liberal at 35! And would he have talked so disrespectfully of Clemmie (his wife), who is generally thought to have been a lifelong Liberal?"

as I understand it... it was incorrectly attributed to him... when he was asked about it... I think he said that he didn't say it, but he wished he had... classic Churchill... ask him about a quote that he didn't give and he would give you another quote...
eh... I see the idea behind it... but conservatives in Europe and Conservatives in America are much different... like you can be a conservative in Europe and believe in "social medicine"... I would be very conservative over there... but, I'm a "liberal" over here...
... wait a minute... maybe I'm getting confused with the "tea" quote... eh... who knows...

There's some truth to that. My dad is an example. He was a left of center person while in college but very right when I was growing up and now he's back from the dark side and resides with the enlightened on the left once again having seen the light.

I think it is hilarious that a supposed great mind would believe anyone bases their political standings on their age. I'm honestly not sure if it is Churchill or not, but none the less, its pompous. Percentages, averages, numbers never lie and all of that....fine to average and assume, but never say that you are not true yourself or others around you based upon what people think you should believe because of your age.

I think whoever said it doesn't have a heart OR a brain.
Sorry Winston, but that's MY opinion
