If you're looking for brand new series try GunxSword. I just rented the first volume and it was a lot of fun. Karas: The Prophecy was also very interesting and had a great look to it. What was really neat was that the first volume was basically a movie length episode which will be continued in volume two, Karas: The Revelation.
I have heard Speed Grapher is supposed to be good but I have yet to see it for myself. People have also been talking about Desert Punk, again I haven't seen it but it is a fairly new series you might look into.
Cartoon Network has started showing a series called Eureka Seven, I believe that it is their newest series. Naruto and BoBoBo-Bo-Bo-BoBo are also pretty new series on their network.
