diferences between german and american rottweilers

There isn't much difference. I have had both. My German was a little bigger but not much his head was a lot bigger but weight wise Tank, the german was 135 and Chico my American was 125. Both lovable teddy bears to the family but didn't really like other people. Tank goes nuts if somebody knocks that's why all our friends just walk in otherwise Tank's all riled up. They are gorgeous dogs with great temperments if raised right. They need a firm but loving hand. They need to know you are boss but not be abusive about showing who's boss.

Mine is American and has short hair. She is very friendly and loves anyone who will pet her. She is big though 135 lbs. and vet says she's overweight.

Don't know for sure, but I know mine was damn big. He was german.
