Don't forget to take into account the fencing and/or cover and homeowner's insurance associated with keeping a pool--not to mention annual maintenance and utility costs.

Here in Phoenix, Arizona you can get a nice 30,000 gal. pool for around $18,000.. Give or take depending on yours pools amenites, such as heater, fancy kool Decking, Waterfall, Spa Attached, Pebble Tec Lining, Pool Light, etc. But for the 18K you'll get a nice big pool that's at least 8' deep with a diving board, or not.
