For somewhere completely different -
Go to Muscat, Oman
I know your first thought is probably "Danger" seeing as it's in the middle east.. but it's soooo safe.
The people are very friendly and there's amazing culture, scenery and a variety of things to do.
Italy is really lovely too... especially if you like Ice Cream =oD Unless you want to see the big tourists attractions... don't go to Rome - it's too over crowded. Florence is really pretty, amazing mountains and lots of things to do.
New Zealand... fantastic scenery, loads of stuff to do, very laid back and really friendly people.
Thailand/Malaysia/Indonesia etc - steeped in culture, yummy food loads of handy things for tourists.. not to mention knock-off designer stuff haha.
Ireland is worth a look too.
I could go on all day about places to go... but those are a few of my favs!
