They collect the test samples and analyse them. There are several different divisions:
microbiology, parasitology, clinical chemistry hematology and blood bank.

They run tests on any medical sample that you can imagine: sputum, blood, urine etc.

We run the tests doctors order on blood, urine and sputum, and stool, some of us draw the blood.
