If you live 2 hours away from home it would really be a hassle to come home. I wouldn't do it more than once a month or so.
The more you stay on campus, the better your chances are of making friends. So try to go home as few times as you can.
College life can be fun yes. With lots of parties and friends. But college life is what you make it. If you want to make it about learning and getting a career when you are finished then its up to you.
Remember the rest of your life rides on the decisions you make now, so have fun but don't forget to study and take your classes and major seriously. Good luck!

Socializing, establishing priorities, learning to be an adult with money and budgets. You have to learn how to juggle studying with social life. I think that's the hardest part that every student has to learn. Main thing is, have fun, and learn about the things that you really like learning about, such as picking the right major.

Parties, beer, more parties. Lots of hot women who are exploring being out on their own who will do wild things during and after the parties.. ok sometimes even before the parties. More beer, women and parties. Or in your case.. beer, guys and parties. Occasionally you have to study or something like that.. it is all sort of hazy in my memory now though.

Just like the rest of you life that depends on the choices you make. It can be fun and productive if you make good choices, or a complete waste of both your time and money if you make dumb choices. So just think things through and make good choices.

College life, to most people, is having freedom from their parents, drinking, partying, and doing whatever they want while on their parents money.

really depends what college u go to and what type of person u are.. most go sumthin like.. sleep -> class -> party -> party->sleep ->study ->class
