The suggestions made above are good. But unless you still eat alot of it, you won't get feel like u've eaten enough. And half that stuff doesn't taste all that great...sprouts, rice cakes? Ew. Drink alot of water first off. Atleast 8 cups a day. Get those sports bottles because it has that little top u push up and down and drinking out of those makes you feel like u've drank alot. Chew ice. I'm pretty sure you eat alot because you need to feel something in your mouth. Bananas work because they are sorta heavier than most fruits. When you do eat, chew slower and take smaller bites. The longer it takes you to finish what's on your plate, the less likely it is you will eat too much.
Protien shakes are good. But that's so you get extra protein and if you work out alot...I'm guessing you don't. And again, most ppl eat alot because of the need to chew. So, eat an energy bar, eat nuts and dry fruit. Dry fruit requires you to chew more than fresh fruit thus, the illusion of eating more. Chew on sugarless gum. Anything to keep your mouth moving without actually eating. But still, the best is to drink water.
Try E.N.E.R.G.Y. bars. I eat those and they are great. Follow the link below. and click on products

I EAT WHAT I WANT! JUST NOT TOO MUCH OF IT!!!!!!
Eat what you like, just not too much!
Don't eat crap you don't like at all!
If you want to lose weight, stop eating so much!!
If you eat very little every day for a month, your body will get used to needing very little food. It just takes time and forming new habits (a habit of eating very little instead of everything you want).
It's like quitting anything you do too much, you have to go through the pain of withdrawal. It's a lot better to go through that withdrawal pain than to be a fat ugly person forever though!!!
If you can find healthy low calorie food that you enjoy eating, good, but you still have to eat less food to lose weight, anyway.
Eating less is the big obvious answer that everyone misses! Everyone wants to be able to eat like a horse without looking like a horse. Everyone wants to eat their cake and not look like they ate their cake! The companies that make low calorie or low fat or low carb food know their foods won't make you skinnier, so they know you will keep buying their overpriced stupid foods, because they don't tell you what you really have to do = EAT LESS FOOD!!!!

here are the foods you must avoid (they raise your blood sugar)
-carrots, oatmeal, oranges, potatoes, processed cereals, raisins, refined grains (white bread, pasta), sugar, molasses, sweet corn, yams...
here are the good foods for stable blood sugar
-apples, asparagus, basmati rice, beet greens, broccoli, brown rice, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, celery, chicken, collard greens, cranberries, fish, garlic, grapefruit, kale, kidney beans, leeks, lemons, limes, meat, mileet, olive oil(smaill amount), onions, papaya, pears, peppers, persimmons, sunflower seeds (raw), turkey
these are the food recommended for diabetic patients, but then its also useful if you want to decrease the calories you take in everyday, which may result in losing weight..in long term of course...in addition, exercise an hour a day, will help a lot...and make sure you have a constant diet - dont eat healthy today, and tomorrow you have fries the whole day...stick to it, in a month time you can have a slight result...

Eat a combination of food, such as whole grain bread, fruits (such as cantaloupe, very filling and low-cal), and veggies. Pasta in small quantities is not fattening, just team it with fruits & veggies. Breakfast cereal is good, too. You can eat a huge bowl of Cheerios for very little calories. Full!

Try combining complex carbohydrates (like couscous, whole wheat pasta, ect), with lean protien (chicken, fish, beans [when combined with rice, they make a complete protien and a complex carbohydrate... you can use seasoning to make them taste excellent). This will not only fill you up more quickly than fatty foods, it will help you feel full longer.
Complete your meal with food of color - a salad with light dressing, grilled asparagus (one of my favorites), an assortment of fresh fruit.
Drink lots of water, since it will make you feel better and is calorie free. Hot teas (herbal and caffinated) are great drinks, and you can get some that are sweet.
For dessert, get some GOOD chocolate. Its better to have a square or two of good chocolate (think gadiva, Lindt, Endangered Species) than an entire hershy bar, in my oponion. If you can't stand to have a whole bar around, then you can buy little squares. If you perfer other types of candy, buy fun sized candy bars or packages, like the ones given out to trick-or-treaters for halloween. Its easier to keep yourself in line if you have controlled proportions.
Things i think help me eat better are things like seasonings. Curry powder, cumin, coriander, and seasonings are all really good ways to slow down my eating, 'cause I like to stop and taste the food. If I slow my eating, then I feel fuller with less food.
Also, if you drink lots of water, you will feel fuller because sometimes, you're hungry when you feel thristy.
Finally, excersize helps occupy your hands. I find that I eat more when I'm bored. I like to ride my bike, go on hikes with my dog, and do martial arts with my friends. Sometimes, I swim or do pilates. Find a sport that makes you happy - football, rec soccer, judo, dancing, whatever.
Good luck!

Popcorn no butter. Rice cakes or high fiber foods. Also drink an almost sickening amount of water.

You want me to feel you up? What?
Just kidding. Try high fiber foods like vegetables and fruit and whole grains. Or high protein foods like low-fat cheese and low-fat meats. They should fill you up.

drink a lot of water before you start to eat and when you eat you will get full faster because the water made you full already.
