my boyfriend is a 18th century mentality person. I'm a engineering student and want to make my own image in the world. but he wants to keep me as a house-wife. I've tried a lot to make him understand but nothing happend. but I love him very much and he also loves me madly....plz tell what sud I do?

u do what u want , nobody owns another, is his life your life do u own him and tell him what to do , do u have a brain or is your brain his,geez don't waste your life and grow old and say i could have done this or that , u would be cheating yourself, u go for what u want to be, never let anyone hold u back, good luck and god bless u in all u do

If your relationship is really seruious, you should seek outside help. Try going to a counsler or someone to work this probelm out. Both of you could talk to a couple that has kids already where both parents work outside of the home, and see how they do it.
Also you need to point out that education is very important. You two could married and somthing could happen to him and he could not be able to work any longer. A friend of mines husband got in an accident and he is no longer able to work because of spinal injuries.
If nothing else works, you might have to dump him. Love is not every thing you need in a relationship.

unfortunatly you two are from two diffrent errors although you two love each other when your married and have kids things like this will be magnified 1000 times over. dating is the practice test for marriage your suppose to be finding someone that share your values , morals and interest. im like your boyfriend in the fact that me and my wife have kids, and its not that i want to be house bound or anything but the hardest thing in the world is to be a good mom and its somthing dads usually are not equipted and it surely isnt somthing i want bertha at the day care to teach my child how to be a good child we chose our route and some chose a diffrent route to each is own but if you love your boyfriend and he loves you this is a deal breaking question that you have posed and if you dont answer it now and still get married it will eventually have to be answer possibly wrecking your childrens life as well as wasting alot of time with somone you only onced loved becuase you two are only diffrent wave links..... good luck on both your relationship and your college

well look your boyfriend needs to listen to you. What kind of life do you see with him? Do you think you would be happy to settle? You say you love him and he loves you madly but wouldn't you think if he loves you as much as you say he does that he would be supportive of you? I know love is great and it make you feel like you can do anything but love is not always enough. Good luck to you.

Yep, that's it. If he is ignoring your plans and aspirations in favor of his own, then don't waste your time on him.
But before you drop him like a bad habit, make sure that's really what he's doing - make sure you aren't misunderstanding each other!

first off, 'should' and 'please'. If you won't be happy as a house wife and he won't be happy with you as anything else you should probably break up. If you stay together one of you will be unhappy either way and that's no way to live

you should talk to him set him down and be stern tell him you have worked your butt off to get where you are and you want his support, explain that this is your dream and you love him and want him to be part of that.
