9 to the 9th power to the 9th power

999 is the largest 3-digit number.

9^99 would be a much larger number (approximately 2.95x10^94), with 9^(9^9) being even larger than that (9^387,420,489).

F^(F^F) would be the larger still (15^437,893,890,380,859,375). F is hexadecimal for 15, yet still a single digit.

However, by using tetration (see source) we can get even larger. The number F^^(F^^F) is so large it is not feasible to write it here, or even to calculate it. For example, F^^F would correspond to 15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15^ (15))))))))))))))). This is, of course, a ridiculously large number and there is little other way to represent it.

If we stick to decimal, however, then the largest number would be 9^^(9^^9), still being inconceivably huge.

Of course, any of these answers could be factorialized (ex: F!^^(F!^^F!)!), but why bother when the numbers are so large they cannot be calculated to begin with?

I think it is 999.
This is the largest three digit number.

If it is asked in tricky way then it is 9 power 99 greater than 99 power 9 as 99 power 9 (913517247483640899) is getable in my scientific calculator and9 power 99 is not even getable in my scientific calc.

Hope you like this.
