I would like to know everyone's opinions. There are other places to ask similar "questions" such as messenger and chat rooms. Do you think perhaps they should just add a category for such questions? What are you thoughts and ideas?

People with questions of a sexual nature deserve answers like everyone else. Perhaps there should be a catagory for this, although I'm sure that any articulate and mature question would fall under the Relationships, Education or Health catagories.

As for obscene questions, that's a pretty broad term. Obscenity, much like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. Or in this case, the reader.

Not at all, whenever I see one I report it. It's annoying to see people asking obscene questions, or asking questions that really were unnecessary in the first place. But, wherever there's a place for people to have freedom to ask what they want and get answers to their dilemmas, they abuse it, just like any other privilege. But, it seriously is starting to get worse ad worse, and I totally agree that there should be a special section for those questions. I mean like, I was on here once while I was babysitting and I saw a question of the sort and one of the kids were in the room, and hopefully they were too busy playing with their Transformers(Do they still make those?) to notice. Those questions should totally be left for chat rooms and messenger, just like you said. But people totally need to stop, because not everyone wants to search questions and have to see those questions on the list.

there's a place for everything and answers is not the place for that crap...i have an 8 yo daughter who likes to read over my shoulder. i have to be very careful about what is on the screen. i'm so sick of it, i have even gone so far as to not log in at all. people are such idiots, and will probably end up ruining a good thing. they almost did for me. i think there should be filters on this website that prevent such garbage from infiltrating.

NO...NOT OBSCENE... but if there is a well written question seeking sexual information that will help with someone's sexual education then such questions should be allowed... but it should be written with understanding that there are youngsters of all ages that have access to Yahoo's Answers... so those people should write their questions with responsibility.

I believe in First Amendment Rights and that applies to what I want to see/hear. I have a high setting so I personally do not receive obscenities.
***My web site opens and closes. When those wanting to exercise rights that violate mine, I close my site for a while; then I reopen it until I get a complaint from a member...then it is shut down. This does pertain to the general venue of contributors of my site. I have no desire to have my rights violated. CactusLil'

Just bout every sexual question has already been asked 10 times. So all anybody who really needed 2 no somthin could just type it in search. Most of tha ppl who ask those dirty questions now r dudes who r lookin 2 get there jollies on by lookin at gurls responses to there perverted questions.

Though obscenity shouldn't be allowed, I don't have a problem with sexual questions. People don't just need answers about pets and etiquette, you know. :)

Also, if you don't want your children to see the things on this site, maybe you should be the one keeping them off of it instead of trying to police the internet. We are not here to raise your children- that's your job.

They are NOT appropriate. If Yahoo Answers wants to add a separate category for them, fine. But the way it is now, they all need to be reported as abuse.

No. As rated "X" sites require a person be over 18 to view, I
think overtly sexual questions should be in an "adults only" section.
Obscene questions are annoying, in my opinion.

They ought to add an 'adult' category to Answers, but that won't keep people from asking nasty questions in the general areas if they think they can get away with it.
