if i want publish a book and give it to a publisher to read it, does he can steal my story and publish it in his hame? is this posible?

What you do is self-copyright it. Go through the process, send it to the Library of Congress, get your copyright, then go to a publisher. You could also mail it to yourself and leave it unopened with the postmark dated on it so you have evidence for a court case.

I think you mean if you write the story. If you write a story, give a copy of it to your lawyer. Then you need to find a publisher to publish your story.

I am sure what you mentioned has happened before.

It is possible, it's called plagarism! Um, no publishers do not steal the stories from authors who give them their manuscripts! Hw would anything get published otherwise?

happened to my Aunt. she gave a thesis to be published and the publisher published it in her daughter's name.

It matters. If hes a legal publisher and is part of a business.if he works by himself i dont think id trust him.if hes in a big company hes more trustworthy.and if hes in a good company its illegal for him to do that.

you can get your story copywrited before you ever send it to a publisher. Once its copywrited no one can steal the idea from you.

Always get copy rights on your work before submitting it! Go through the Library Of Congress..it cost about $30.00.
