They aren't in it because they want some commodity. Lebanon has no oil deposits of any consequence, the incursions relate to Lebanese support of terrorism in Gaza. And an unwillingness on the part of the Lebanese government to prevent border incidents.

The only thing Israel wants out of Lebanon is Hezbollah, preferably horizontally.

Don't be ridiculous, they have no oil. Now, if Israel wanted Iran's petrol, it's simply there for the taking. Go for it Israel.
