Not just in terms of size obviously or power. In terms of intelligence, expression and in general?
I believe animals are equal to humans.

So just because the bible tells me that we are superior than i'm supposed to believe it? Ok now answer the question using your brains instead of omitting the bible. Think..about how the airplane was invented...where did the idea if flying high come from..(BIRDS) and think about how animals raise their youngs..(BETTER THAN HUMANS)..think

Exactly..animals do not need to plant veg. to eat and they do not need to operate on each other because they have natural ways to do so...Hello people i know that people OVERPOWER! Animals i know that..but is it fair? If one person does'nt eat meat..think about how many animals you can save?

I believe that we are a cog in the wheel of life, equal to, and equally important in all life.
Anyone who has lived with a pet knows that they can think and reason. But are thinking and reasoning good indicators of what is superior? All animals and insects and even plants communicate. We don't understand their languages, so perhaps theirs are superior to our own?

The reason humans are 'superior' to animals is only because of intellectual thought, free will, and the ability to use tools. With such intellectual thought we invent things like tools. We save lives and take lives. We write as well. Animals have intelligence and great instinct. Something they were given at birth. Humans have it too, but sometimes our intellect just gets in the way of it. A bird was born to fly, but we had the intellect to mimic it and make tools to invent the aircraft. Animals can't do that. Nor do they truely have free will...they are a slave to their own instincts. Yeah they have emotions and intelligence, but can they dicuss creation? No. they can't Thus Humans are 'superior' to animals. Yet since we are so 'superior' we do have the responsibliity to take care of our earth, and the animals ect ect....because we have the intellect to do so.

I do not believe humans are more superior than animals. Yes, the bible does say that animals are inferior to us, but the Bible can be confusing and that could of been taken out of context. We are all organsims. I think that people think we are "superior" to animals because we are intellligent and are bigger in size. What people need to realize is that if humans were superior to animals, than we would be able to live with dinosaurs. Which is impossible. Animals are not inferior to us either we are equal.

In evolutionary terms no animal is superior. Some are just better suited to their environment. How superior or advanced is a being that threatens its own extinction as humans do?

i believe that humans are superior to animals. Humans ultimately have the ability to pass down their culture from one generation to the next. Yes, animals are very smart and intelligent most were created that way. Animals do not pass down culture.

If you believe that, you're not so smart. I don't see animals raising humans and then slaughtering them for food. I don't see animal planting fields of veggies for food. When's the last time an animal operated on another animal to save it's life. Where's the human zoo animals go to.

animals are infinitely better than humans - animals pursue their happiness totally - humans are the only ones who are stupid and fail to pursue happiness - humans have a genius for miserymaking - they have stupidities you wouldnt believe - stupidities you couldnt dream up
