Since you're a new mother, I assume you are married to the child's father. Hopefully you are happy in your marriage and in love with your husband. If this is all true, then you should not be hating yourself, but rejoicing the fact that you have what so many of us desire out of life. A happy marriage is not an easy task.

Eat right and excercise. If you are overweight-- so what. Be happy with your good life.

(perhaps you're anemic? That may be the cause of your low energy. Insist your doctor get a blood test and check for this and other issues)

I know exactly how you feel.I found out 8 yrs ago my thyroid doesn't work at all. And Pregnancy doesn't help. I gained almost 100 pounds during my first pregnancy 11 yrs ago and couldn't loose the weight i thought i was doing some thing wrong. But come to find out wasn't. It seems no matter how healthy I eat or how much I exercise I cant loose no more than 20 or so pounds. I often wonder what purpose I serve. Then I found out that thyroid problems also cause depression and mood swings. There are times that I feel like I am so alone. So you are not alone in how you feel and apparently neither am I.

I've never been too happy with myself (I've been overweight since I was about 6 years old) and shopping for clothes is always a nightmare, but I don't hate myself anymore, and that's because I'm working on it. It's a slow process, painfully so, and my family is not very supportive either. They congratulate me for my efforts, but at the same time they don't do anything to help and many times hinder more than anything (especially with the hereditary Italian food).

My advice to you is, find someone who can be your buddy or you'll have to do it yourself. Sit down and think: when can you do it, and how can you motivate yourself to do it? I signed up for a "Lifetime Fitness" class at the local community college. It required only 40 hours of working out per semester, so I signed up for another class to force myself to do 80. Semester's over and I broke all records with 120 workout hours. The instructors were so impressed they gave me a free T-shirt (not much motivation, especially since it's still the same size, but it was nice). Remember that no one can get rid of the extra weight but you, and while working out can get dull if you're by yourself (trust me, I know! 120 hours by myself!), it doesn't mean you'll be bored all the time. Take some upbeat music (U2!), stretch out, and go for it.

After all that time, I only lost 5 pounds, so obviously I'll be going back to the gym and now I compensate with swimming. BUT don't forget that the effects won't always be visible; you'll gain muscle mass and it's heavier than fat, so even in the early stages when you don't look much healthier, the changes will be happening on the inside.

Good luck. :)

firstly congratulations on being a mother you get many brownie points for that achievement. Good for you. That is your priority at this very minute of your life. Now you have a few issues firstly a Thyroid disorder which is very common in our society today. I assume you have a specialist who oversees your treatment if you do not I recommend that you get your GP to refer you .Not all GPs are specialists in dealing with this problem, secondly if you try to fix too many problems at once you will only become overwhelmed one step at a time. None of us are wonderwomen. Dont be so critical of yourself, and dont feel you are alone with your problems , do something you enjoy , rushing into a new diet or exercise programme is not going to give you instant results think this one through maybe as I said before just do something you enjoy then you will become happier in yourself and what appeares to be a big problem now in a few weeks wont appear soo big. Good luck

nicely, there's a pair of issues to contemplate related to this occasion. at first, there is in all possibility purely a touch of black genetic textile in some Italians, maximum have no Negr0id genetic textile. they are extra like Greeks or Turks than they are like black Africans. Secondly, biologists will inform you that race isn't a organic and organic concept; there is no such element as a genetically defined race. it is all a be counted of distinctive cultures linked with pores and skin hues and facial useful components. In different words, it is extra interior the minds of the human beings who're thinking approximately it than it is in some purpose definable standards. If some Italian guy imagines that there is a black race and an Italian race, he could have faith it if he needs to have faith it. If that provides him what he considers a sturdy reason to hate somebody else, who can end him? optimistically, some day, we are going to all improve in understanding to the component the place we don't hate human beings for superficial motives.

Don't be so hard on yourself!

Talk with your doctors about how you can approach weight loss in a way that is suitable to both your lifestyle and health.

Please, please find a local mothers' group that can act as a motivating force in you life. Being a new mom is difficult in itself, without the added pressures you are allowing yourself to have.

Take care from someone who has been there.

From my observation of overweight people around, they seems to be happily being overweight. Also some people are overweight because they have emotional problems, and until they get out of the emotional problems there is little chance they are going to realize that they are overweight and start to hate themselves for it ( which may bring them back to square one )
