Who knows?... Many scientists, philosophers, thinkers, great and famous religious people (leaders) have tried to find a perfect or at least an incomplete answer for this basic (fundamental) question during the civilization history. We do not exactly know that how this very complicated strange phenomenon comes to us? From a common philosophical stand point, life has refered to as a especial kind of "being"(in its pure-of course diverse-)philosophical meanings); or from another stand point (perhaps in its social science paradigm): separation of mankind from its nature mother and shining of first human civilization lights. But more than every definition in the scopes of social sciences or philosophy, "life" is interpreted/investigated in the scope of bio-sciences where we deal with the mude of pro-life in the begining horizons of our being. But remember that we may have many intellectual questions on life and its consequences, perhaps we couldn't answer such questions easily; although better and extended understaing of such questions will be a kind of reply in its turn. I thank you for such a meaningful question. I refer you to a poem by a famous Iranian poem, Sohrab Sepehri: ""It might not our business to discover the mystery of a rose flower ....
