I think that some dumb folks aren't sure whether they are dumb or
not but believe in their own hearts that other people that don't act the same way don't have any idea which way is right for them to go or whether they can be part of the civilization like other folks that know how to think but don't agree that this is the way they should feel or they wouldn't know if someone told them unless it was a relative or
a very close friend that they trusted in every way and who told them honestly whether it was true or not even though telling them something bad might hurt their feelings and not allow the friendship to continue. That would be terrible.

NO, because if they are truly stupid (some people are!) they do not know. An example of a stupid person, my next door neighbor who says our dog bit her on the leg (no broken skin whatsoever on her leg the day she claimed it) and she wanted hundreds of dollars cash from us right then and there. Then she said if she didn't get her money she would go to the police and get it through them. She actually thought the police would come to our door and make us give her money. Now that's stupid. Sad.

No. No one thinks they're stupid, not if they have decent self esteem. Everyone thinks they know best. Besides, the way you phrase your question makes it sound like there are right answers out there for people to find if only they have the brains. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. There are multiple, conflicting, right answers for most important problems. The real trick is learning to accept these conflicting opinions on the same level as your own.

yes stupid people know they are stupid i know 2 right now. they actually say I'm stupid and this may sound dumb but hear me out! which is key for everyone else to say what the f*** and start laughing! AND TO SHOW THEY ARE STUPID THEY BOTH say what happen i missed it! and then they always repeat them selves.

No, truly stupid people do not know they are stupid, thus they do not seek to fill that void, and thus are stupid.

Can't think of research that validates this, but you can see how it works.

Better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are stupid than to open it up and remove all doubt.

As long as people have a jaw that works, there isn't anything that is going to prevent ignorance.

If stupid people know they are stupid, then we will be leaving with a bunch of them and then we won't have a chance to show how clever we are coz they won't know the difference.

Once i fell down when i missed the chair and my friend asked "Does it hurt?" I answered "Duh, no...i do this for fun!"...

She must have been standing behind the door when GOD distributed the smarts...
