use a lot of cotton buds. but be careful though, do not probe deeper on the inner canal. just let the cotton sips the water.

I have had this problem all of my life. I went swimming so much that I always had an ear infection until I got tubes put in my ears--5 times. Have her lay on the side that is plugged. If she lays there for a while, gravity will bring the water out. In a couple of days, if she still can't heat out of that ear, or thinks the water is still there, you should take her to the doctor. Better to catch an ear infection before the ear drum bursts from the pressure--my experience also.

This is going to sound crazy but Everclear works wonders.
My daughter had horrible, chronic, ear infections from swimming. She's had 4 sugeries, only 2 of those were to put tubes in. Anyway, her ENT specialist told me to put a few drops of Everclear alcohol into her ears everytime she got out of the water. Once we started using the Everclear she hasn't had any more problems.

Seriously, it is amazing! Just put a few drops in her ears and let it sit in there for a few seconds. She will be able to feel it "pop" the water loose. Then just have her tilt her head the opposite direction and let the water and alcohol run out onto a towel.

Another option is a little hydrogen peroxide, that also works just not as well.

And our ENT told us not to use a blow dryer on her ears, he said that it would trap the water in there.

When I swim I get water stuck in my ear too. what I do is mix equal amounts of rubbing alcohol and white vineger and use an eye dropper or something like that and drip it into my ear while tilting my head sideways. Wait about 15 seconds and then turn your head and let the mixture drain out into a kleenex. The alcohol dries out the ear while the vineger kills bacteria. I hope it works out. If it doesn't, call the doctor.

Whenever that happens to me, I tilt my head to the side with the water in it so that the filled ear is facing the ground, then I jump up and down until the water runs out. Works every time.

Swimear or Aurodri. Both are basically alcohol that will help remove the water. For that matter you can use 4-5 drops of rubbing alcohol and it is tons cheaper. Just don't use on infants, see your doctor for that. If the hearing doesn't clear soon see your doctor.

Have her snap her head as far to the side that the ear is on and it should pop out. Get her to rub a q-tip in her ear and that may pop it out, too. Then try Swimmer's Ear. You can get it at wal-mart for like 5 bucks.

My cousin used to tip her head to the side of the ear that was filled with water and hit the side of her head above the ear with the bottom of her palm. It worked for her, otherwise call doc... Good luck!

It'll come out by morning.

If it does not and she is still complaining, a trip to the doctor might be a good idea, especially if she has any history of ear problems.
