Did I hear right that Cristiano Ronaldo is not staying at Man Utd but has just signed a contract with Barcelona ?
I am no9t quite sure if thatis what I heard on the radio today (in London England)
Does anyone know if this is true ??

"Exploradora" --- that is precisely my point/question.... have things changed ??!! Ronmaldo has been wanting to leave Man Utd LONG before the world cup, log before he has been branded a "cheat". He wanted to leave ManU whilst he was their hero, September 2005.

YOu know something ??? An old boy told me recently that it was the same thing with Pele when he was young.... jealousy from other countries called him cheat, crap, everything !!! So Cristiano Ronaldo must be pretty good if the same thing is happening to him.

I think its just a rumor, because Ronaldo made statements that staying wouldnt be that big of a deal, but he would like to leave.
According to Man Utd:
"There is no possibility of Cristiano being sold," United said. "Cristiano recently signed a new contract until 2010 and the club fully expects him to honor it.

It hasn't been confirmed as yet. Ronaldo has been planning his switch to Real madrid for about 11 months now. Meanwhile, Manchester United ensures that they are not going to consider any offers for him. However, Ronaldo apparently has the grounds to abandon his contract at ManU as reports indicate that he claims to 'fear for his safety if he returns to England'. Although, nothing has been decided yet, it appears as if Cristiano Ronaldo will most likely join Real Madrid in the near future regardless of what Manchester does.

Some of the news papers are stating that Cristiano is ending his contract with Man. U. but it's not confirmed yet, but what is confirmed that Man.U. is strongly attached to Ronaldo knowing that he is a great player.

they should let him go if he's so desperate to leave. his staying on won't be good for team morale. even sir alex knows this but maybe, just maybe, he's angling for a huge buy out. the english sure want their pound of flesh, lol. can't say i blame them. c ronaldo didn't play smart. he could have behaved differently and kept the goodwill but he chose not to so his present difficulties are entirely of his own making. sorry but i can't feel any sympathy for the guy.
