What would I do without this little WC section here? Go insane probably.

I was excited finally getting to the Final but then I was sad thinking, "Ok, let's watch it again starting with the group play!" Unfortunately, as far as sports channels go I only have ESPN and ESPN2.

I want my own world cup!!! I want it to be everyday. Every year at least. I'll die without it.
It sucks that you only have ESPN, ESPN2. You should get a package that has GOLTV, Fox Soccer Channel, etc.

I hate the fact that US doesn't care about it. They're not normal. I'm still wondering how I'm surviving here. I hate it even more when other people think that ALL Americans don't care about Football.

yes indeed,KC!! Believe it or not,I was dreading the end of the Cup about a week after it started. I dreaded july 10th!! someone in this website suggested that the world cup be every 2 years instead of 4--I couldn't agree more. What I did to get my daily "fix" was subscribe to a few sports channels that include soccer games from different parts of the world--they even replay old world cup '06 games and other games! I get Directv and that's where the channels are available. But I'm sure cable or other companies offer similar options. So I know what you're feeling. Aren't you glad you can talk to people who feel like you via the Internet?

It's really hard to come back down when you eat sleep and breath it for a month straight. You build up to this big Finale and then it's like OK what now. Domestic Leagues and all feel so flat after the fast pace and intense competition of the WC. But then the next 4 yrs is all part of the build up to do it all again. I will miss this category and all you fans, and thanks everyone, it was a great experience whether we agreed or not.

Email me if you ever want to talk about the WC I am happy to keep talking for a while yet.

Good Luck everyone in the lead up and Qualifications for 2010. See you there,,,or maybe here...lol

SAME HERE!!!!! i live in the US also and get this i don't even have espn. i miss the WC so much. i wish americans could get into it. this is what i believe if one famous soccer player from outside the US marries a popular american gal we would be good. after all here everything is about the media and showing the world that we r the best. the other possibility is that the US team needs to get better. i just wish that americans just fall for the game and forget that we arent very good at it. i think it is underrated because we arent good.

i hope u understand! u can email me too.

Oh yes... it was wonderful in spite of the ball kicking and crushing, head butting and dives, penalty shootouts, and FIFA's orchestrating the outcame of games, the World Cup is still great, particular the earlier stages with so many teams and so many matches to chose from. I loved it and cannot wait until another MAJOR football tournament comes round.
And you're right about that one... a very dear friend of our from the USA asked us "WHAT IS 'THE WORLD CUP'... IS IT A SPORT ???" --- lololol

It's funny how americans are idiots when it comes to "soccer"
Who gives a damn anyways, they missed out lol...
"soccer" is the most popular sport in the world...
and a country with a lot of population doesn't value the sport lol

Can't wait til Euro 2008...
Allez les bleus!

Being an American I really don,t care at all about soccer.I know it,s hugely popular the world over but it sure isn,t here in the U.S. At least I could care less anyway.
