Maybe not one of the greatest, but it is a good way to interact with other people who may or may not agree with you, share opinions, and educate and be educated about other people's beliefs. Some of it is just for fun, some is serious and can even be life-changing. I, for one, have learned a lot from seeing the different sides to some issues. I still believe what I believe, but I understand other beliefs a little better.

Not when you can not speak your mind. Since they dictate what is allowable and whats not, this doesn't seem like the greatest service to humanity.

Not sure, but it is a unique creation that networks people unlike chat rooms and search engines. And it's as addicting as crack.
