if you watch the season 2 dvd outtakes (or some other special feature category), there's a segment where david cross breaks out of character and rants over their marketing...very sadly true (i also believe a serious error in time slot). the show was very ahead of its time and even more disheartening is that despite showtime and another network offering to pick up the series, the creator realized that it would not be the same...

Fox has an prolonged background of sinking usual exhibits, many times with the aid of changing the night on which it airs. family guy, Futurama, social gathering of 5 (which I by no potential enjoyed, replace into canceled 5 cases throughout its first 365 days and then became rewarding), Arrested progression, Get a existence (that one's going before), and a bunch extra that i'm no longer conscious of. the only reason there are any new family guy episodes is a consequence of DVD sales. So, in case you want the instruct to return back, purchase the DVDs, and get everyone else who likes the instruct to purchase the DVDs. And, sure, they certainly could desire to deliver Arrested progression back.

Showtime was rumored to have offered to pick up the show with at least 26 planned episodes following its release from the Fox Network. However, Mitch Hurwitz had decided not to continue with the show. Here's hoping that he changes his mind. ;)

Because despite the fact that a lot of people say they like it, it wasn't getting the ratings to justify it's continued existence.

The creator doesn't want to write any more episodes because he is afraid that he might screw up a very good series.
