I have gotten bored of the city I grew up in and I feel like there's nothing left for me here. My closest friends and family are married and having kids. Anyone feel the same way?

Yes!!!
In fact I moved to another country! I am now in Tokyo, Japan! It was the best thing I ever did!
I say if you want to move, go for it! I hope you are as happy as I am now! Good Luck!

Almost too many times to count.

One thing to realize in advance, however, is that some places are easier to make friends than others. So you might not actually wind up liking the place you move to any better.

Of all the places I've lived, I have to say that New Haven, Connecticut was THE BEST. It's a beautiful city, close to New York (by train), excellent public transportation, right on the water (Long Island Sound), mountains just to the north, EXCELLENT restaurants, coffee shops, GREAT clubs/bars, LOTS to do, historic, and VERY FRIENDLY.

Good luck.
Do some research before you jump in.

I'm actually getting ready to do just that.....Only I'm moving 3 states and over 8 hours away from my family. I need to live on my own without them interfering in my life. I'm too old for the way that they treat me.
