I've been coming across questions that you would call your best friend for consoling, not post it on a website where a bunch of assholes will give you advice that would get you nowhere and why do people put up fake questions about something like their wife has left them or their mom is stripper? Is it to make some kind of fantasy life feel more real because they havent got one of their own? Please tell me what you think.

The feeling of being anonymous brings out interesting qualities
in people. I don't mind "fantasy" questions, if they make me think.
It is...what it is!

On the one hand, questions on here will get a lot of smart alecky answers.

On the other hand...because the net is anonymous...people can ask very personal questions and get very frank, straightforward answers without any of the pussyfooting around that you would get from a friend or relative.
