because they are so insecure about theyre own sexuality and judging someone who is okay with their orientation makes them feel better. and they are still stuck in times where they believe "our way of things and our beliefs are the only ones that are real and are the only ones that matter. which is so not true. theyre always saying "being gay is a sin"..NO IT ISNT! all i do is ignore them, or if they get extremley horrid (like curing or other ways) i just report them. its rediculous, i dont bother them, but yet they still bother me. i guess i rele dont get it

Because the religious section is really, REALLY boring?

Because they already know all the answers and want to share?

Because they have an "annoy people like a little buzzy fly" quota?
It must say somewhere in their book "Thou shalt annoy the unannoynted or suffer the eternal flames of your own guilt" or something.

Besides it isn't the religious people, it's SOME of the Xtian people. (There's no Christ in their religion, so I substitute the X.) You see very few Buddhists or Hindus judging the gay people. But that's because Christians are right and everybody, everywhere else, is WRONG. Right?

I believe there is a verse somewhere in the bible or maybe it's just a christian religon thing, that says they are required to spread the word of God to all, one time. Something like that. Don't quote me on it but I recall a convo I was in with someone and Itold em you know, we shouldn;t even discuss this. It will only cause tension etc. And they insisted that it was their Christian duty to to tell me, but only once.

Unfortunately, many have a distorted view of spreading the Christian word. They misinterpret the bible then insist on telling people things that are oftentimes mean and degrading.

Not all Christians are like this tho, I have a good friend who is helping me understand some things about christianity, and tho she has nicely said that shje does think homosexuality is a sin, it's no more of a sin than anything else etc, and she only said that when the subject came up. She knew i was a lesbian and never ever brought it up. She is one of the nicest ladies I have ever met. I respect her opinion on homosexuality because she respects me. That's the key ingredient many people (christian, gay, muslim, black whatever) are lacking. RESPECT. To me, she is a true christian. And an example I would follow if/ when I choose to accept one specific religon.

Why do I get tired of seeing the same question over and over? Not your fault... perhaps I need time away from Y!Answers...

So:

Not all of them are.

Some of them want to genuinely "help" (as they see it) GLBTs find God, by their rules.

Others want to learn what we think or do so as to support GLBT family members

Still others are (sometimes unknowingly) in the closet and want to take out their frustration on that which they fear most about themselves.

Finally their are the poor unfortunate "religious" types, whose only goal is to spread hate in ignorance of their religion and the world around them.

Because you just can't judge as many people from the religious section.

I suspect that a great many of them are latent homo/bi-sexual themselves, and are lashing out to overcompensate. That and the "missionary"' type attitude where they try to convert so that everybody has the same attitude that they do. The hateful one's are scared of themselves, and hate us for being comfortable with ourselves. The preachers are trying to look better in the eyes of their fairytale version of the supernatural. Many or most christians have the mindset of sheep. (Why do they refer to Christ as their Shepherd?) and the one thing a week minded sheep finds threatening, is someone who's independant. The contrast shows how weak and ignorant they are.

Are you 100% sure that that's what they're doing? God is the judge, not man, and every Christian knows this. They may just be trying to warn you to repent or face God's wrath! That's a very loving warning, and one which I hope you will heed!

Because they are just envious of anyone who is living their life to the fullest AND the way they want to! Big Daddy, Junior, and the Spook want you ignorant and crawling, it keeps the pews full and the doors wide open to let the sheep in.

I can't speak for anyone but Christians, but for them I'm pretty sure that it is due to a poor understanding of the Bible and Christ's message. It is much easier to see the world in black and white terms then actually submit to how Chist suggested they act.
