do you have to have a portable generator or is there anyway to connect to the engine for the power, i know that's alot of power i would need

I think you have your power requirements wrong because at 50 amps and 220V its 11000watts. The 220v in America or Canada is different, it's called a split phase and has 4 wires, two active, one neutral, and one ground. In Europe it's 3 wires, one active, one neutral, and one ground. You can hook up an inverter to your battery to get 220V but 11000 watts is a lot of juice and the inverters will cost a lot and 1 car battery will not be enough assuming you are in America you can buy two inverters (50Amp) at 110v each and set them to run together at 220V 50A, but make sure they have that built in function. In Europe it's easier as you will only need one inverter. I have not seen many 220V American inverters on the market. I'm not sure which method is cheaper, I'm an Electrical Engineer for a yacht company and we rarely install inverters over 4000 watts on a boat up to 68 feet so 11000watts sounds really excessive. Check that the amperage requirement you gave is not the sum of the breakers/fuses because this number may be twice the running amperage you actually need. Breakers for AC equipment with outlet plugs commonly are set to 15Amps even though the equipment may only need 3Amps

A company called "McMaster Carr", I believe sells a generator that will produce the power you want, and it is belt driven, so it can be mounted under a truck hood, and driven by the engine.
This will require you to fabricate the mounting hardware.
But it can easily be done.

you need a inverter to do that with and you can find them at any wal mart or any R.V. Dealership.
