How you deal with anger is what your father has taught you. You need to learn to do relaxation techniques to calm yourself down. Or use the energy for something good like walking, biking or a hobby. Sometimes keeping a journal helps or even talking to a friend. Let it out but in a positive way, you'll feel better and then you can talk about why you were so angry and resolve the issue.

Do this once a day when your not angry, in a few days you will see an improvement--some people see an immediate improvement. sit in a quite place, bathroom or anyplace. close your eyes and imagine a large ball filling your head then imagine it getting smaller and smaller till its gone at that point imagine being engulfed in a bright light.like going into the dot just before it disappears, the light will only last for a split second but you will yawn or sigh automatically. do it before a test or anything that might be stressful. It will put you in control, be sure and do it even if you feel great to keep tuned up.

Yes, it's called self control. Don't let your anger get the best of you. You can feel it coming on, so instead of exploding on the person or persons, just walk away and calm yourself down. Stop and count to 10 or something. But you take control of the situation and not let the situation take control of youl. But then again, maybe you may need to take some sort of medication or even anger management classes. You are the only one who can make that decision. Good luck to you.

It could be that because you have been raised in an "angry" environment, that you have learnt that it's okay to verbalize your frustrations in an angry manner too.
Being irritated by stuff is normal! If someone cuts in front of me in line, I might say something like, "excuse me, but I think I was here first...". If I was an angry person I might say "what the **** do you think you are doing?!". It's perspective.
Don't sweat the small stuff! Tell yourself, in the scheme of things, will this matter in an hour, a week, a month?? If yes, then speak up.
Know that whenever people get angry, it's more about them then you. It's taken me a lifetime to get this...hopefully not the same for you!

A therapist could help, meds are probably not the answer as you need to learn new ways of reacting to stuff. There are some good books out, probably in your public library that could help too ask the librarian, they don't have to know its for you.

Warn people first. Tell them sometimes you have a split personality and so something you can't be controlled that easily.
