Where do you get these ideas? George bush appealed to the UN for years on the question of Iraq. The UN passed several resolutions against Iraq but only Bush had the guts to lead a coalition to enforce the UN resolutions. Go back and study the real history not the revisionist version that the Democrats and th NY Times have used to pollute our consciousness

Man Neddie when you ask questions like this you bring out every repuke's Rush Limbaugh impersonation. Faux news would be proud of these indoctrinated moron's The UN could be a vital force and to world peace if it was a true governing body. But instead it is reduced to humanitarian projects by these same kind of "big" thinkers. Not that these projects are not needed because they are but the UN has far greater potential then what is being used and an underachiever of sort because of these idiots. Bush is up to something and I think it has to do with Iran and N. Korea. He would never stand with them if it wasn't for an ulterior motive.

He never held the UN as irrelevant, in fact even during the run up to war with Iraq I still think he spent to much time dancing with the UN particularly since they were bought off.
I think he is still giving the UN too much credit. Lets face it, America is the UN without there would be no UN, we pay for it, we enforce it.
That said when they can be useful, there is no point is not letting them be.

So he is opportunistic and exploitative. Is that a mark against him.
By the way, dumb*ss, the U.N. needs the U.S. way more than the U.S. needs that U.N. Have you ever heard of the League of Nations.
It was the first attempt at a United Nations and the U.S. declined to join in on the fun. The League of Nations fell apart and World War II unfolded.
Without American muscle the U.N, isn't worth sh*t.
I have never voted for a Republican politician ever, just to let you know that this isn't conservative propaganda.
I have read history, though, in fact I studied modern western history in college, and you are a retard.

Okay we get it. You don't like Bush. Fine. Do you have anything else to talk about? It looks to me that you seem to already have answers to these questions and that you just have a need to hear someone tell you how right you are - or maybe you want an opportunity to tell someone off because they have a different opinion. GET A LIFE - if you really are concerned about all the starving neglected children then GET OFF YOUR COMPUTER and pick up a hammer or spoon or check book and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. Whether you like it or not he is our president for a little while longer. Stop whining!

We disagreed with the UN in regards to Iraq because the UN was allowing Saddam to continue his BS only because the UN was accepting bribery payment and we knew it! So don't try to make that band of thieves look like a sainted unit. Their hands are pretty dirty. We work with them because we have to to a certain degree. When it is no longer in the best interest of our nation then we act, as did 30 other nations in regards to Iraq.

First: American doesn't need the U.N. Second: Bush has not changed the administration's position with respect to the U.N. In fact, Europeans and the U.N are realizing that Bush's understanding of the terrorist threat was accurate.

You're goofy. We don't need the U.N. It's pointless. It's full of murdering, lying, cheating, bribe-taking, rich, bloated morons. They've never solved a problem, and they never will. Where do you learn the things you supposedly know?
