Because he sings that he shot the sheriff, but then makes it sound ok by stating that he did not shoot the deputy. Personally, I think both are wrong. What do you think?

He is saying that he went for the big dog. He wouldn't waste his time with the deputies. He took the holder of the key of the law totally out of the piicture, the sheriff. Total dissruption. He is the sheriff at this point. Now he can run things the way that he feels is fair. Even if he is in command for 2 seconds.

He said he never shot the deputy, because shooting 2 officers of the law gets you 2 life sentences basically, soooo, why take the rap? Also, shooting the sheriff makes more sence, because he is the one who gives the orders. It's like taking down the queen ant. lol. But, there ya go, that's how it happens. No point in shooting a lowly deputy

Both are wrong. I think you would get in more trouble shooting the deputy. Too bad they don't take every murder as serious as shooting a law enforcement officer.

Thank God for Sheriff Arpaio. each and each and every arrest is one step ahead. only those individuals that stay in a border sate understand purely how undesirable of an unlawful problem we've. I also pick to thank the top of position of start safe practices, Napolotono for stepping up on the unlawful issue. She is one dem it is doing an effective interest.

deputies are usually more relaxed and cool whilst Sherrif's are stuck up since they have so much power, so that's why you hear often in places that it's cool to shoot the sheriif but not the deputy.
