how to get a boy?

So my husband and I are going to start trying to conceive. We would love to have a boy first but will take whatever God gives us with open arms and heart. I know that in the end it is the males sperm that decides the sex of the baby. However, I have heard that some positions could possibly help. I actually even talked to the doctor and they have found that the chinese calendar is one of the most accurat sources that determines what the sex will be depending on ur age and when you plan on conceiving. Anyone have any expierience at this... meaning had the same questions and possibly had something work for them?

The chinese calanders suck,all four times it said i was having a girl and i have four boys so you are asking the right woman on this subject.Buy ovulation prediction kits at walmart,kmart ect. The kit will tell you what days to start testing depending on your period length...most are 28 days long so you start testing around day 11,wait util you see that the test says ovulating and have sex every day until the test says no more ovulation or has only the one line,usually the most you get is two days of a positive ovulation,the test tells you not neccasarily that you are ovulating but will be in the next 12-24 hours.Try not to have sex a few days before you would expect to ovulate so the sperm can have alot of males in it,if you have a 28 cycle you would expect to ovulate around day 14 so no sex after day 11 and if you do have sex before you ovulate use a condom because the female sperm are stronger and can live in your reproductive tract just waiting for the egg to come.I never realized what i was doing was getting me all my boys,im glad i did it that way becasue i love them to death but next time im going to do the oposite to maybe get a girl...no matter what you get know you are blessed to be a mom.

You might want to check out "Your Fertility Signals" (I can't rememer the author) or "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. Basically the male sperm and female sperm swim at different rates and the female sperm live longer, but swim slower so to get a boy you need to have sex only on your peak fertile day and the day after because the male are faster but die faster. The first book is shorter and easier to read, the second one is bigger but more helpful if you are having a lot of trouble conceiving. I know several people who have used Fertility Awareness to concieve a boy or girl and from what I can tell if you do it right it works. Good luck and God Bless!

There's a lot of books out there - how to make a boy/girl. I read this after having a few of my children - a lot of it actually rang true.

I don't know anything about chinese calendars. But I can tell you, I have 3 boys, two girls, and wanted one more child to make it even. And I did NOT want another girl. They're very expensive!!

So I did it the same way I have before (few beers, 2 shots of tequila, cowgirl position, while the moon is still up) -

I'm currently pregnant with twin boys.

chinese calendar is bunk plus there is more than one version of it and you have to convert your age to chinese age to use it. My husband and I have 2 boys, he says you have to go deep to make boys.LOL but now i am pregnant with a girl. Male sperm are faster swimmers but female sperm live longer, therefore for a boy try to do it as close to ovulation as possible, for a girl do it a few day before you think you will ovulate. It's really just a roll of the dice though. Good luck!

I have been told and read that to concieve the boy you need to have sex from behind(doggy style so to speak). Also, your husband needs to eat lots of greasy fatty foods(not really sure if it works). We wanted a boy first too and got him. One thing my husband did each day was he told our unborn child to grow a penis. We got our boy but we would have been happy either way.
