1.You got raped?
2. Had a little accident per say (not sure how to spell that) you had an accident while masturbating?

Although I know it's the basic fact that your not a virgin if you rip the skin, would you convince yourself it did'nt count?

Yes, I would consider myself a virgin in both cases. Losing your virginity is a consentual act with a partner. I had an accident, with a lawn mower, and ripped my hymen. I was definitely a virgin after that. Virginity really has little to do with the hymen. It is about your and your emotional connection to someone else.

Rape is a horrific act and trying to tell yourself you aren't a virgin is letting the rapist win. A rapist can't take that away from you. It can only be given away.

(1) No.

(2) Yes.

Each person might answer differently, and that is OK.

This page is part of a great site about female sexuality and anatomy:

What do you think of this section, for example:

'Who is a Virgin?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A girl or woman who has not permitted a male partner to insert his penis into her vagina is commonly accepted to be a virgin. Others define a virgin as any girl or woman who has not had sexual contact with another person, and who has not explored her own body as well. Strict religious doctrines require virgins to not only forgo physical sex but also sexual thought. Still others say a virgin is a girl or woman who has an intact hymen. Your definition of a virgin depends on your point of view.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are always exceptions to every definition of what constitutes a virgin. The above definitions do not take into account homosexuals and intersexed individuals. At what point does a lesbian become a non-virgin? If an intersexed individual without a vagina accepts a female identity will she always be a virgin? If a girl is born without a hymen is she never a virgin? What about sexually abused girls and raped teens? If you did not consent is that the same as consenting? If a bi-sexual teen is a "technical virgin," a person who engages in sexual touching and/or oral sex but not vaginal intercourse, still a virgin even if she has had twenty sexual partners? Virginity is a spiritual attribute not a physical one. A virgin and virginity are what you believe them to be.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since virginity is a spiritual attribute a woman can be a virgin more than once in her lifetime, as odd as that may sound. The best example of this may be the young teen that tries intercourse once and realizes she was not really ready, it was not as enjoyable as she had hoped, or that it was simply a mistake, and does not engage in intercourse again for several years. As time goes by her reluctance to engage in intercourse may increase, or becomes greater than it ever was, because she comes to expect more. From an emotional point of view she is a virgin; with the same desires and apprehensions as a woman who has never engaged in intercourse."

BTW, it NOT a prudish nor conformist site!

The requirement of virginity is a religiously based requirement, so within that context, any penetration by a PENIS is a loss of virginity whether it was consensual or not.

However, you can insert a tampon and not break your hymen, and your hymen can break for a lot of reasons that do not include ANY penetration at all.

So..a broken hymen (skin as you call it) is not the determinant of whether or not a female is no longer a virgin. Having sex is.

I would argue that anal or oral constitutes a loss of virginity too; at a minimum, it sure constitutes a loss of innocence.

Also the powers that require virginity usually prohibit masterbation so that accident shouldn't be happening.

Virgin means you have never had vaginal sex. So if you were raped you would no longer be a virgin. Masturbating does not constitute sex, it is masturbating.

As for your idea of being a virgin only if your hymen is intact, I don't agree. It is possible to tear this skin by other activities such as horse riding and cycling, so does this mean that you lost your virginity to a horse or had sex with your bike? NO

there is no longer something incorrect if a guy is virgin or no longer. what's significant is his values... and his total being. the way he thinks... ladies are unlikely to marry a guy's genitals... he is going to marry the guy himself. a woman does no longer care if a guy is virgin or no longer, what she cares about is that if he ought to love her, respect her, seem after her and provide with her. the reaction of a woman who knew that a guy is virgin varies on their custom, if it became a western custom they could in all likelihood be shocked, yet frequently in asian cultures they wouldnt techniques.

I would still consider you a virgin if you got raped. Even girls who have had sex and then realize they want to wait until marriage can consider themselves secondary virgins.

A virgin would never start the question " Would you still consider...."

A virgin is a virgin....like a newborn...never had nothing sexual happen to them, or did to themselves.
