Giving someone your forgiveness is overrated; showing it is underrated

Underrated. More people should ask sincerely for forgiveness. Too many people go around holding grudges. Why can't things be like when we were kids and forgot so easily? That's not to say all things are forgivable.

Underrated. Some things are so hard to forgive, I know. But the healing process requires that a person forgive those who have despitefully used them or hurt them or mistreated them in any way. That's what God has done for us, so we have to pass that same forgiveness along to the rest, even the most horrible and vicious among us, perhaps, for our OWN sake, not theirs.

Real forgiveness means that you forgive everyone, everything, everywhere, from the begining to the end of time. Most importantly you must forgive yourself all your faults as well. If you are going to forgive some and not others then you are not doing the real thing. Real forgiveness is not exclusive, it is all emcompassing. So if you are selective about who or what to forgive then you are not really practicing real forgiveness. You may find it easier to forgive someone for killing another easier than you find it to forgive someone for not being faithful to you. Real forgiveness is seldom accomplished, and entirely worth the effort to obtain. The practice of selective forgiveness is not worth the time. Forgive all, or forgive none....

Overrated. We are humans! We will forgive but never forget.

"To err is human. To forgive, divine."

Forgiveness is much tougher than seeking vengeance, so I believe it is underrated, though self-restraint is too difficult in many cases.

overrated.

I don't want to hear that you forgive the prisoner.
The rapist, the murderer, the accomplice, the malevolant.

Everyone is to blame for their derangement.
