Theodore Roosevelt is the best. The guy lead the Rough Riders into battle in 1898-1899. He established the National Park Service, preserving thousands of acres of land and wildlife. He got shot and lived, he was an all around badass.

He was a much better President than FDR, who was the worst. I don't understand why everyone says FDR pulled this country out of the Depression. It is a fact that WWII did that, not the welfare state that he established. It is his fault that the lower classes of this society are trapped in poverty. It is one thing to create government jobs, paid by taxpayers, in a crisis, but the New Deal should have had a time line or a transfer to privatization on it. Today, people would rather take money from the government than get off their asses. I'm not generalizing here either. I know that some people, especially single mothers, need assistance. That is great for awhile, but there has got be more scrutiny over who gets welfare. Thanks for the welfare state FDR, thanks a lot.

without a doubt President George W. Bush is the worst he will be listed in the history books as the worst. the best he or she has not been in my lifetime. The framers of the declaration of independence were all rich elitist which they formed the government of the original 13 states. Nothing has changed...the capitalist of this country drives this government with power and money. Has history goes there has not been the best president, however Franklin D. Roosevelt started social programs, without those...what would happen to the poor, old and disabled?

James Polk was our only president to fulfill all his campaign promises. He gets my vote only with Teddy Roosevelt

Worse ever let's see Herbert Hoover who set up relief for Belgium after World War 1 but when it came to relief for his fellow Americans he did absolutely nothing. And when World War 1 veterans came to get the bonus money they were told they would get from the government, Hoover sent out Federal Troops to get rid of them. Many Hero's from the World war were killed from this.

Of course George W Bush isn't all that great either. Herbert Hoover of the 21st century

I vote for Thomas Jefferson as the best American President in history. His insight into the frailty of government was extraordinary. It was Jefferson who said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." He recognized how hubris and arrogance would interfere with man's dedication to public service.

The worst President in American history occupies the Oval Office even as we speak. George W. Bush will be judged harshly for his incompetence, corruption, and disdain for our Constitutional form of government. Consider what Bush has done since 2000:

1. Illegally and unconstitutionally invaded another sovereign nation that in no way threatened, provoked or attacked this country;
2. Massacred tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens for no justifiable reason;
3. Initiated failed economic policies which has put American taxpayers TRILLIONS of dollars in debt to finance his obscene war, and which will result in a severe depression shortly after Bush leaves office;
4. Turned America into a police state wherein citizens are presumed guilty until proven innocent;
5. Dismantled environmental axioms designed to protect and preserve the delicate ecological balance between man, plants, and all other animals on Earth;
6. Lied to the American public and leaked information to the press when it conveniently fit his agenda, then demanded that the NY Times be censured when it published news he wanted to keep secret;
7. Attacked Iraq for only two reasons: 1) to 'finish' what his daddy started during Desert Storm and 'settle a score' with Hussein; and 2) because LimpDick Cheney wants all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands so he and his Exxon-Mobil buddies can get richer and richer and richer;
8. Tortured 'detainees' without regard to the rules of the Geneva Convention, then turned away when they were psychologically, physically, verbally, emotionally and sexually abused;
9. Neglected America's poor, disadvantaged, underprivileged, sick, disabled, homeless, elderly and hungry while playing 'Robin Hood in Reverse', stealing from the poor and giving to the rich;
10. Killed over 2,500 U.S. soldiers (so far).

Bush deserves to be tried for high crimes against humanity, and -if convicted- must face a public firing squad. He is without question the most depraved demon ever to serve as a U.S. President. Surely Satan has a special oil-soaked corner of Hell reserved for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld where they can spend their eternal damnation blaming each other for the mess they made of our world! -RKO-
