You are in one room. They are in another. You have no way to communicate with them. You both have a box with a button. You have one hour to choose. The first one to push the button leads to the peaceful death of the other. If neither of you pushes the button you both die. What do you do?

Death of any kind is far from peaceful.
How do you know that if you pushed the button, your friend, spouse or family member would survive?
They are after all at the mercy of the one whom imprisoned them in the box to begin with.
No Guarantees either way.
So you both enjoy what time you have left and pray you will be remember in the Last Day.

Push it. I wouldn't want him to suffer with making the choice. It would be a very hard choice to make and I know he would have trouble with it so if I push the button he wouldn't have to worry about killing me and hating himself for the rest of his life. Plus I would know that his death was painless. If we both waited then he may have had a harder death. I would push it. Not so that I could live longer, because life without him is not life at all, but so that he wouldn't have to hate himself for killing me or die a hard, painful death.

I know he wouldn't push the button, so I guess I would have to. No sense in both of us dying. At least, it will be peaceful. He would be getting the better end of the deal because I would have to deal with the kids and my disabled mother who lives with us. What can I say? I'm a saint.

I hope this isn't like the movies where someone innocently answers a strangers question on the computer, and the next thing you know, they wake up in a strange room, locked in, with.... hey, wait a minute, You are that stranger! this is too scary for words! I'm going to hide in my closet now, in the dark, where of course you wouldn't think to look, because only I know about that hiding spot... don't I? Do you? OK, I'm not going to tell you which closet. So stay away from the Dallas area. Because I'm not there. Really. But if you do, I have an attack dog. (True, he only attacks me, but I won't say that part out loud, they can't hear me, they don't know what I'm thinking!) But if the worst should happen, (I better say this part out loud)...I LOVE GEORGE BUSH!

What kind of a choice do I really have?...if I push the button I die...if I don't push the button , I die. Either way I die...without him I am dead.

It makes no sense (sorry), but I can't kill myself, and I can't tell him to push his button cause there's no communication. All I can do is kill HIM.. now why would I do that? I would rather push the button and ME die.

I absolutely refuse to push the button. I pray and ask God's will to be done.
