My one year anniversary is coming up and I'm wearing a black dress, sleeveless. I'm also wearing silver jewelry to go with my dress. My boyfriend told me we were going to an expensive restaurant (jackets required), and I'm kind of lost what kind of make up to wear. I need tips, colors, technique.. anything you can give me!

Go elegant. Soft warm lipstick and eye make up to match the color of your eyes or just a soft liner. A glow brushed powder is nice for the summer on top of a tinted moisturizer. If you don't know what to do, go have a make over done at Sax. Ask your husband if he would rather had your hair up or down. It differs with men. And, remember the jacket required is him, not you. Although pantyhose and heels are usually desired. This is afterall a special occasion.

just use a little eyeliner( black) mascara and a little lipstick just to bring out the color of your lips/skin tone maybe very little blush . all the other stuff isnt good for your skin and it makes your skin look old/worn out .
hope this helps
my grandmother always said leave a little to the imagination and the other saying was less is more you just want to highlight your best features

i would say neutral colors with a dark shade of brown at the brow bone. it would be somewhat dramatic. or light silver at the begining of your eye and make it fade into a soft black. it depends on what kind of look you're going for. if you want a neutral, try a medium brown with goldish sparkles :]. happy anniversary !

You don't really need a lot of make-up. Sometimes too much makeup actually makes a woman uglier than she really is. And it doesn't do anything at all for a beautiful woman.
Hair: Women like to do up their hair, but most guys prefer long hair left down.

what planet are you from?
you dont wear makup to match your clothes
it should match you hair skin and eyes

for a beginner keep it light
foundation & powder same color as your skin

look for a model in a fashion magazine
or online ad that looks like they have same skin eye color as youself and whose style you like chose lip shade and eye shadow & blush in colors close to what you chosen model is wearing..

ps the outfit you describe goes with everything

if you have brown eyes use black mascura
put red lip stick and you have two different hair too try
if your very thin then put your hair in a bun and curl the tips a little bit
and the second choice is too put your hair lose and make it"blondy wavy"
use crules and straighteners curl two sides of your hair im not good at decribing in words...
i saw it in "cosmo girl"

That's the beauty of black and silver, they will work with so many colours. Try some muted purples and violets. Lilac is nice. Pinks and burgundys are nice too.

I think that i would wear natural tones. Or soft pinks. I think that would pretty and not over-done. I sound like a magazine saying this but, wear make-up to enhance your features. Congrats on one year!

depends on your skin tone (no matter what color your skin is try a neutral color or a fun color)
like if you are light try a darkish brown or a blue
if your on the darkar side try a medium tone of brown or a medium tone if pink
