So he got carried away at times, but if everyone was the same race, blonde and blue eyes, there be no racism now. If he won the war we'd all be spending the same money.

Hitler was just one man with ideas that where wrongly acted upon to the extreme. If I said it would be good to have 1 race and religion so there would be no hate wars you'd agree. I'm only a bad person if my officers set about making this happen. I may not be getting my point over very well but please try and bear with me

Carried away does not even begin to describe what he did and believed! He was a crazy man who was allowed to get away with massacres and murders of millions. I understand what you are trying to say, that no racism or prejudice would be a good thing, but that is not what Hitler wanted or believed. HE wasn't even blond and blue eyed! And he was partly Jewish!
Life is exciting because there are so many different types of people. If everyone was the same race, then the world would be a very boring Orwellian place. (read "1984" if you have no idea what that means) Even if I don't like what someone has to say, I wouldn't want them gone. Different is good.

Oh for sure, of course he was misunderstood. The poor little guy. I mean, if killing miliions and millions of people isn't something to forgive and forget, I don't know what is!!!! (sarc)

Really, his legacy continues as strong today as it did 10, 20 years ago +, and what he did is completely nuts, no matter what his causes were.
I understand any man's dream of empowering his country and bringing a better standard of life to it's people, but the hurt, destruction and fear he drove into the hearts of so so many innocent people is unforgivable.
And if we all looked the same, spent the same money, then what would the world be? We'd be mindless automatons. No diversity, no cultures, customs, languages anything to define us the societies we are today.
Yes, there may be war and strife and famine, but we strive day in and out to rectify these issues, as individuals. Who's to say if we were all blonde-hair-blue-eyes we'd be living in peace today.
I think not.

Oh, yeah, that's what he was trying to do, end racism. He didn't want those Jews to be the victims of future racism, so he just slaughtered them by the millions. Same with Poles, gypsies, Africans, and communists. WHAT??!!

I think his intentions were pretty clear: rule the world and kill anyone who might be perceived as a threat, or who was different from him in any way. I don't think you can count concentration camps as "getting carried away".

All this time i've been thinking that Hitler was a crazed madman & murderer with intentions of a global conquest and really all it boils down to was that he was an ok bloke who just got a bit carried away.... A BIT CARRIED AWAY! Come on!

If you have read "Mein Kampf" then you will realise that in early years he was quite "stable" and very intelligent! But what turned him to the Hitler we all Know I haven't the faintest.
