Personally I think he'd be better of entertaining the older generation of people. So far, I only see Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood being successful after being on AI. I don't think Taylor Hicks has a good voice, is very attractive, or going to make it big in the pop industry. I, personally think that American Idol isn't a very good show. Sure, its funny watching the auditions. But how many free music contracts can you give away? Also, I don't believe people travel many miles to be put down by a judge who isn't even American. What is your whole input on Taylor Hicks, past winners, and/or the show itself.

I cant get into the show my husband likes it but I like Taylor over the chick that was against him but Id rather seen Chris win. I thought Fantasia and Rubin winning was a joke and where are they now?? I think their runner ups are doing better than them.
I don't like American Idol at all and wouldn't care if it was canceled.

I am a fan of the show and I think that when Simon Cowell tells the contestants the truth, he may be blunt but he is just trying to give them some hard facts about their performances and they take it and try to improve the next week. I think Taylor Hicks will entertain not just the older generation but all generations. Out of all the contestants this season, he had the audience going on all his performances. I am not saying that the other contestants weren't good, nobody really got them into the music as much as Taylor Hicks did. He was my pick from the beginning.

Hicks is just ok for me. I think he clearly was the better entertainer this past season, personally I thought Chris Daughtry was the best singer and he should have won. How Katherine McPhee got to the final two is beyond me....she was terrible for weeks, and don't get me started with Kellie Pickler....how did she even make it on the show? She was a JOKE. Talk about someone who couldn't sing!!!
Out of all the Idol winners, the only ones I really cared for are Kelly Clarkson and Ruben Studdard.

Taylor is no pop singer, definately blues, and in my opinion the only contestant that could sing on Idol, Katherine should have been voted off early in the show, and as for Chris Daughtry, well lets just say that I think that he is just another Creed want to be.

Funnily enough, the critics have been blasting Taylor's performances in the AI touring show, saying he's a terrible singer amongst other unflattering comments. I have to say I agree. Another thing....what's this with Kat not performing in the tour???? Never heard of anyone being sick for so long with laryngitis!!

Your right about him not making it in the pop industry, however, there still is a big audience of blues lovers out there. I'm 29 and I love him. I think he's got a great down home personality and a great voice.

He seems like a nice guy, but I'd never buy one of his records in a hundred million years. Same goes for the other Idol winners.

I believe he won fair and square by giving the people wanted they wanted, an entertainer and singer. mcphee was an excellent singer but she was robotic and not very entertaining she didnt appeal to the WHOLE audience, where Taylor gave them a show

Good live performer, so so on the radio. Kelly and Carrie are the only breakout talent so far from the show.

I don´t see the star potencial in him, sure he has a realtively good voice (other contestants had a better one) and has a little bit o charisma, but he has not that je ne sais quoa that makes a recording artist a star
