That really depends on where you are starting from, and just how long you wish to stay. Do you want to stay in a private rental, or inexpensive hotel, or would you be planning on staying in a 5 star resort? All of these things factor in.
In May, I traveled from Sacramento, CA. to Jamaica. We stayed in Negril (they have the best beaches), which is down th road apiece from Montego Bay. We stayed for one week, at the RIU Negril Club Hotel, which is a 5 star resort on the beach. All food, all drinks, room, round trip airfare, as well as transfers to and from the airport in Montego Bay to Negril, for $1,184.00!
When you think about it, you could easily spend most of that on food and drinks alone for a week just eating in nice restaurants. The restaurants at the resort are NICE. Heck, it costs more than that just to go to Disneyland.
I don't know where tech9 stayed when he went to Jamaica, but we experienced no negativity at all. The people were great, the water in the ocean is 78-80 degrees, and I have never enjoyed a place as much as I enjoyed Jamaica. That was my second trip, and I am saving to go again.
So, if your serious, go see a travel agent. Go see more than one. Visit www.jamaica.com on the internet. Explore your options.
Peace.

It depends on where you want to stay. I've been to Jamaica 7 times ...need I say I love the place. I was actually married there too. Cheap is not always better. There are a lot of nice resorts there though. The time of the year will also change the prices considerably.

good day, my spouse and that i purely went to Jamaica and we paid about $1100 someone. i presumed that became an awesome value pondering it blanketed airfare from Pennsylvania, all of our beverages, foodstuff, and assistance on the hotel we stay at. We stayed on the Grand Palladium in Montego Bay and it became awesome. wide hotel- best on the island- 2000 rooms, like 11 restauraunts, nightly leisure, 4 swimming pools, a appealing spa. As with maximum all inclusives, the snorkling, kyaks, paddleboats, and so on. were free. the employees became awesome. compared to some comments of jamaica I study, they were no longer pushy and did not anticipate a tip; I propose in case you gave them a tip they treated you better, yet by technique of no potential did they anticipate it. We were no longer offered marijuana in any respect both- yet they're in many circumstances a foul ingredient for some??

You need to capitalize the first word of a sentence as well as I and the J in Jamaica. Also you can not end a sentence in a preposition.

you can get return flights from UK for £199, but bed and board is really hit and miss when you get there. Id suggest going round travel agents, getting quotes -if onesays £500, tell the next one you were offered for £400 and keep cutting down,. I did this and had 2 weeks inSt Lucia at Sandals for £450 for 2 people all inclusive!! inc flights from Scotland!!!!

Think twice before going there, we were there once and that was enough. Rude ,obnoxious,DISHONEST. You'd have more fun wearing a meat suit and swimming with sharks than going there.

I was actually looking forward to going there so I was VERY DISSAPOINTED
