The primary physical advantage to circumcision is that it's easier to clean the penis since there are less folds for dead skin cells and such to accumulate in. There has been some preliminary findings that circumcision *may* reduce the chance of catching HIV, but it will not enitirely prevent getting it.
Many religions and cultures also believe it's important for infant or teenage boys to be circumsized, and that is a decision you would have to make (for yourself or your child) based upon your culture.
As for disadvantages, there's always the chance of a botched job (see the link below), and there is evidence that there is reduced sensation after a circumcision.

Hey...I have two boys that were babies once. LOL Anyway...my hub and I could NOT decide on this issue, so we decided that we wouldn't and if they wanted to when they got older then we would get it done. So far one of my son has had a bladder infection. (He is now 15.) The other 12 year old has never had a problem. They are so cute when we talk about it. They are totally ok with thieir bodies, have never been teased in the locker room, and except for the one infection...are totally healthy. I know it is a big decision...good luck making it! For what it is worth I think it is freaking MEAN to do that to a baby!

I can't believe how dumb some people are on here. Do you think there'd be humans alive if uncircumcised guys got sick often? That'd mean back in the cave men eras that all the men would be sick...Do you have any friends? Do you THINK all your friends are circumcised? If not, do you notice your friends being sick often? Why don't you just kill yourself and do all of us a favor?

Theres not much difference. uncircumsized male has a greater risk for infection. only because it is harder to keep clean and bateria thrives in moist warm environments
but have their been uncircumsized males that have never had an infection? Yes

No, we do not. After all, anyone who showers/bathes daily will wash there like anyone else. After going to the rest room we wash our hands, why would we be nastier than anyone else?
The advantages? We're whole! We're not butchered or pulled back just to please someone else, and if anyone tells you we're not more sensitive, lol, don't believe them, I know. I've played with plenty of both, enough to know better.

Don't think there is any significant difference. I'm not and two of my brothers are. They are a little ornery.:) Other than that, no difference.
