How could it. We are all different, both spiritually and mentally and we will never all agree on things. All we can do is respect oneanothers beliefs and opinions and filter out as many of the bad ones as we can.

Relatively speaking we've had world peace for 60 years, the great powers have not been at war in global alliances. Only the advent of a world wide totalitarian state would have any chance of suppressing all conflict but then there would still be the rebels or terrorists or freedom fighters depending on whose side you were on.

world peace is false hope.it's like taking a trip to antartica and hoping that one day it'll become 100 degrees.maybe it will happen but the odds are against humanity,since we have individual freedom to think varying thoughts that sometimes clash with others.i noticed that when someone dies,some say R.I.P.(Rest In Peace) so as long as humans are alive,they won't see world peace,only acheive peace within themselves when they're dead?! hmm...

It depends, I think we write our destiny but each one has to make a very personal choice... and that can be hard to attain in people who have been raised lacking the fulfillment of basic needs.

My theory is that as long as religon exists there will never be world peace because of the conflicting views and opposition to eachother. I'm not bashing religon, I'm just baffled by all the hate that stems out of it.
