This Forum brings people closer in a subtle way. The exchange of ideas, to see different view points, to read a joke,find out something you didn't know is a form of getting close. It's an exchange and interaction with varying types of people from all walks of life. You know what else, I find that exchange and connection with people here more honest than other avenues you could pursue on the Internet with people.

YES ! Whichever way you look at it ! Even disagreement , the stray cases of abuse, foul expressions, resentments, tones of dislike, disregard, lack-lustre expressions, do carry an inner message "But, I care to tell YOU how I feel " isn't it ?
If it is so about such messages, I think nothing needs to be told about the creative, supportive, substantive, non-automated (for computer buffs, that is !), messages ! ! !
And not the least of all, those who do like to really have a chance to feel JUST the being, not the person, this does seem to provide a sort of SUBTLE medium (perhaps not pre-conceived of by even the YAHOO TEAM) but strongly felt and hinted by a few deeper beings who are fortunately , also the users of "Yahoo Answers" !
Not really an out of context question, in fact, may be it would be worth while for users to review it periodically , to reaffirm their support to this Global Village !

yahoo answers is just an avenue to meet other people who like to share their ideas or express their curiosities.
it really depends on "you" if you would like to get intimate with one of us. you can do so by trying to contact that person, then its another way to get closer...
out of the millions logging here, its very hard to maintain closeness similar to that of getting a friend in the yahoo messenger....

It's an interesting diversion, like a puzzle. I don't know that it brings anyone closer to anyone else, but it's a neat little challenge.
