I have read alot of posts regarding American politics and its people and WOW. I don't mean to be disrespectful. Talk about Mexicans, same sex marriages, abortion, religion and how it effects Americans. I know Canada is way more relaxed than the USA. We have alot of immigrants here too but how does it really effect you? As long as they are there legally and working...who cares? I'm sure there is alot of Americans on welfare to. It seems the major issue for Americans are not the same for Canadians. I'm sure there is alot of Canadians that share the same views but I guess we're not that vocal about it. I'd rather be happy than worrying about issues that are not gonna go away because its been happening for centuries. What is your opinion on differences between America and Canada? Are we the same type of people or do you view us in a different way?

I'm not judging because I am aware of what we hear in Canada is from the news. I go to the states all the time. People are great.

The people have similar view, the republicans hype these issues to get people upset and off their asses so they vote for them. The average american has moderate views.

The whole point is that the mexicans we're talking about are NOT here legally. What would be your response if millions of people just crossed your border in Canada? You don't know who they are, what they want, whether or not they're terrorists, and they start soaking up your welfare and free healthcare. Does that seem right? I don't think it's judgemental to want people to follow the law.

As for all your other topics, we're just a people who like to debate. The people on here, being mostly young, tend to do it in an inflammatory and immature way. But that's not how all Americans discuss things.

I think most Americans think of Canadians as the same from a human standpoint, and different from a government philosophy standpoint. We all want basically the same things, we just go about it in different ways. No harm. Like all good neighbors, we can be friends without living our lives exactly the same

Are we the same? No. Americans are not like anyone else. We have had our differences with Canada as you have had with us, but I am sure that almost all Americans still think of Canada as a friend.

The problem with Canada is that you have gone to far left. You can deny this all you like but your country is already feeling the effects of this, it is the slow decay of your traditions your economy and your uniqueness. You are welcome to do as you wish, but here in America we are fighting among other things a major culture war against the left. They have made our country weak, they have destroyed our moral values, and left entire communities in poverty.

You will inevitabley fight you own war on the left, or you will persish.

As far as the talk about Mexicans the major discussion is the huge influx of ILLEGAL immigrants estimated to be over 20million. Would you like it if 20 million Americans came across your borders without permission and the demanded full social services and did little to contribute in kind?

Thank you however, for Hockey.

Americans welcome Legal immigrants. We are not so keen on illegal immigrants. We have yet a bigger problem with those that broken our laws to sneak in here and then end up draining our social systems to the tune of 68 billion dollars a year. I think if you are given the facts you will see why it is such an issue for us.

I am sickened by the racists holyier than thou attitudes that America cannot and will not be hurt.
We just entered a war we cannot, five years ago, get out of, words of Colin Powell to GWB sr.
I am a good hearted person who tries not to judge anyone cause I aint no better than anyone else.
I am not holy, am a sinner like we all are. Although I try, i can never be perfect and neither can anyone else.
But we can love.

i think that Americans are extremely judgmental!!! i think that it's a little gay that you know people think its cool to make fun of this stuff, but i think it's wrong of them. that and i think everyone should have the right to speak their minds where ever they are.and they should totally should have the right to do same sex marriage or an abortion if they really want one. OK.and the immigration i personally think should be legal-but that is only what i think.

certain they're quite judgmental I used to bypass to a private college and had to placed on uniforms until eventually i realized that this became the precise reason they were there to make us equivalent and not in any respect experience like we are being judged on what we placed on. So certain, very a lot so.
