you should have some DVD software on your computer that will allow you to do this. If not, you can download Nero, or similar program that will walk you through the process.

You need to back it up using nero or shrink or something.Do you have software to do this??also if the dvd has copywrite protection you need the right program to crack the codes. If it is a home made dvd it will not be coded, also if it has allready been copied by someone(burnt) the protection will have allready been burnt.Does your computer have a burner?if not then you are only copying to a cd not dvd,and there is software to do this but i dont have that information.I use shrink with dvd 43.You can get both of these from--www.videohelp.com-----click on the first one on the page-(1) then at the upper right of the next page--where it says welcome back--new tool versions click on new tool versions ,then the next page(2nd colum)--dvd rip tools--dvd 43 and shrink are there on mirrored sites.dvd 43 puts a little smiley face at the bottom of your screen .when you put an encrypted disc in your drive,it screws its face up while cracking the codes --then it turns green and a big smile --which means -go it has cracked it.From there you can copy the movie using whatever soft ware you choose. To explain to you how to back up and copy,we need to realy know what software you are using to talk you through it.Please feel free to contact me by mail if you need more assistance and the software you are using.-most softwares have a user guide that you can print out,or read from the screen.-good luck.----to contact me by mail --just click on my avatar.
