Yep, it's sooo worth it. They have great products. The makeup stays on longer and better, and the skincare products really do make your skin look and feel wonderful. Have a party and get it for free! It only take a couple hours and it's not hard. It's fun to hang with your friends and get makeovers!

I'm a consultant, and while I agree that if you are a customer and paying full price, it can get pricey. I wear MK because I get the half off discount. The quality is great for what you are getting. I am sure the other brands out there are just as well, but I have never had anything stay on my eyes and my face as well as Mary Kay has. I agree, some consultants are very pushy, but they are not all like that, I hate that as well, but I do it. My favorite is the microdermabrasion. If you go to a dermatologist, it's about $100/hr and MK's will last about 3 months for $55. It's used twice a week. Overall, it's worth the money, but only get the stuff you like.

NO! My goodness I can't believe all the girls out there that said it's good quality make-up. Look at the ingredients ladies. You are paying for a Name Brand only. Mary Kay was a super rich old gal. Just like Avon products. Honey? Some cosmetics companies own more than one name brand too, meaning the same ingredients go into two different brand names. But the more celebrity the name brand....the higher the $$$$$$ for it. Isn't that terrible? Revlon, Almay, good ol' Mabelline all have superior products within their brands. Don't pay big bucks to a dead chicks legacy. I went to a Dollar store the other day while we were on vacation. I needed some aspirin. As I looked around, I saw an eye shadow kit. The panel kind, you know several shades in one kit sort of thing. Girlfriend.....this stuff was better than anything I have ever bought. It stayed on all day, no smudging, no creasing, no flaking off under the eye. It cost me a buck!

I would say it would be worth buying if you could evaluate what was in the the products. You should know exactly what you put on your face. Don't be led by the crowds like a blind sheep in a herd. Do some research and find out what they tout. You could start by checking out this website which tells us that Mary Kay won't say what is in their products! http://www.thinkbeforeyoupink.org/Pages/CosmeticCompanies.html
I use Arbonne because it is pure, safe and beneficial.

It's definitely worth buying. The quality is great and you'll see significant results with the skin care. The makeup lasts all day and they have a variety of colors.

I personally like MK minus its sales people. They are too pushy and they give the brand a bad name. As far as the quality, I think they carry one of the best kind of skincare, especially for mature skin. The coloring in the cosmetics is a bit too arcade, but MK is catching up gradually.

yes, mary kay is expensive because it has superior quality, its worth the cost of your money
but you have to consider also the sensitivity of your skin, that is, if you are compatible with it, because no matter how expensive cosmetics are, if they give unpleasant reaction to your skin, then you will not get your desired result...

Personally it is a matter of opinion. Honestly I never tried MK because they never seem to list their ingredients. For me that is very important because I have sensitive skin and there are some ingredients that wreak havoc on my skin. So if they (MK) continues not listing their ingredients, I simply won't purchase it. No ill will to the company MK but I have to put my skin first. Besides they are making enough money without me :).

yuck... Mary Kay is horrible make-up. It looks like clown make-up. Wear something lighter and more modern like clinique or l'oreal. (Mary Kay is for 40+ business ladies.)
