English is a very complex languige (ack! I hate spelling) with exceptions to ever gramatical and spelling rule.

I think it may depend totally on their native tongue. Many different languages require such a different way of wrapping your mouth around the words that English is completely at the other end of reality for them. A lot of languages depend more on throat sounds than English does. Many people learn foreign languages, and use them, too - by first picturing the words in their own tongue and then translating it. Some get to where they can do this quickly, but that doesn't necessarily work for their mouths. It seems to me that there would naturally be a problem in that case, with what the end verbal result would be.

Why can't you speak French, Spanish, Italian, Japenese, etc...same reasons for those who have a hard time with the accent or can't speak the language at all.
